May 2025 is shaping up to be an exciting month for Pokémon GO players, with a packed schedule of events and raids that promise to keep everyone engaged. The highlight of the month is undoubtedly the return of the Lake Trio to 5-Star Raids, available in various regions around the world.

What Does Pokémon GO Have in Store for May 2025?

Kicking off the month, Tapu Fini will be featured in Five-Star raids from May 1st to May 12th, bringing with it the special move Nature's Madness and a chance to encounter its Shiny form. Following this, from May 12th, the Lake Trio will make their much-anticipated return in a region-specific manner. Players in the Asia-Pacific region can encounter Uxie, those in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, or India will see Mesprit, and trainers in the Americas or Greenland will have the chance to battle Azelf.

After the Lake Trio's stint, Tapu Bulu will take over the Five-Star raids from May 25th to June 3rd, 2025, also featuring Nature's Madness and its Shiny variant.

For fans of Mega Raids, May offers an impressive lineup. Mega Houndoom will be available from May 1st to 12th, followed by Mega Gyarados from May 12th to 25th, and wrapping up with Mega Altaria from May 25th to June 3rd.

The month is filled with diverse events starting with "Growing Up" from May 2nd to 7th, accompanied by a Mega Kangaskhan Raid Day on May 3rd. "Crown Clash" runs from May 10th to 18th, with a special Dynamax Suicune Max Battle Weekend on May 10th and 11th. The Community Day on May 11th will feature a yet-to-be-announced Pokémon, adding to the anticipation. "Crown Clash: Taken Over" will take place from May 14th to 18th, followed by a Shadow Raid Day on May 17th.

The excitement continues with "Final Strike: GO Battle Week" from May 21st to 27th, and the May Community Day Classic on May 24th. The month concludes with a Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day on May 25th, 2025.
