Pikmin Bloom Celebrates 3.5 Years with Classic Nintendo Console Theme

Pikmin Bloom is gearing up for its 3.5th anniversary next month, and Niantic is pulling out all the stops with a nostalgic celebration. The festivities kick off on May 1st, 2025, with an exciting new event that brings back the charm of classic Nintendo gadgets.

The Update Is a Cool Throwback to the Good Old Nintendo Days!

Over the years, Pikmin Bloom has delighted us with various fun decor, such as Pikmin adorned with Mahjong Tiles and Playing Cards. For its 3.5th anniversary, the game is taking a delightful trip down memory lane by introducing classic Nintendo game consoles from the 80s and 90s. Additionally, a Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin will be available, paying homage to Nintendo's origins in the playing card industry before they ventured into video games. These cards are designed based on Nintendo's vintage playing card decks.

The event runs from May 1st until May 31st, 2025, giving you an entire month to engage in missions and collect unique new Pikmin. Each time you complete an Event Challenge mission, you'll be rewarded with random items like Game Button Cells, seedlings that can grow into Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 Decor Pikmin, and flower petals.

During the event, Brilliant Mushrooms will appear, and smashing these will yield Mystery Boxes containing Game Button Cells, flower petals, and other goodies. For the best results in taking down these mushrooms, use Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 or Playing Card Decor Pikmin.

Pikmin Bloom 3.5th Anniversary Also Brings Big Flowers in May

In May, the flowers in Pikmin Bloom can bloom into beautiful varieties such as carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, or anniversary roses when you plant red, yellow, white, or blue petals around them.

There's also a nectar update during May, meaning that the fruit obtained from mushrooms will provide nectar for regular flowers as well as special ones like carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, and anniversary roses.

The celebration doesn't stop there; other exciting activities are planned, including a Community Day. Make sure to download Pikmin Bloom from the Google Play Store and get ready for the 3.5th anniversary extravaganza.
