Cursed Objects (also known as "Cursed Possessions") are randomly generated items in Phasmophobia, appearing on various maps depending on game mode and settings. Activation requires locating and interacting with them within the location.

Unlike standard equipment, Cursed Objects provide game-altering effects, each with a significant drawback. Gaining information, such as the ghost's preferred room, or receiving buffs, comes at the cost of reduced sanity, temporary blindness, or triggering a perilous "Cursed Hunt."

Use caution; in some scenarios, avoiding Cursed Objects is the wiser choice. Note that they don't appear at all difficulty levels or in Challenge Mode.

How Cursed Objects Function in Phasmophobia

Phasmophobia currently features seven Cursed Objects, each with unique abilities and debilitating side effects. All significantly reduce the user's sanity. Proximity to the user increases the likelihood of a Cursed Hunt.

Cursed Hunts mirror regular hunts but ignore sanity levels and can occur immediately after a regular hunt. Their extended duration (20 seconds longer) presents a greater challenge, especially at higher difficulty levels.

Below is a table outlining each Cursed Object's function:

Cursed ObjectAbility
