Pawmi, Alolan Vulpix Join 'Pokémon Sleep'

Author:Kristen Update:Feb 20,2025

This year's Pokémon Sleep winter holiday event brings two adorable new Pokémon: Eevee in a Santa hat, Pawmi, and Alolan Vulpix! Let's explore how to add these charming creatures to your collection.

Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix Debut in Pokémon Sleep

The December 2024 Holiday Dream Shard Research event, running the week of December 23rd, marks the arrival of Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix. This event offers increased chances of encountering these Pokémon, along with bonus Dream Shards and other benefits. Shiny versions will also be available.

Pawmi appears starting December 23rd at 3 PM on Greengrass Isle, Snowdrop Tundra, and Old Gold Power Plant. Its boosted appearance rate during the event significantly increases your chances. Pawmi, Pawmo, and Pawmot all have a Snoozing sleep type. While evolution via Candies is possible, studying their sleep styles requires wild encounters. A Snoozing sleep type (a common, light sleep) maximizes your encounter rate. Balanced sleep types might also work, but with reduced odds.

Catching Alolan Vulpix

Alolan Vulpix, also debuting December 23rd at 3 PM, is rarer, appearing only on Snowdrop Tundra. Alolan Vulpix and Alolan Ninetails possess a Slumbering sleep type, requiring a deep, 8-hour sleep for optimal encounter rates. While a Balanced sleep type offers a chance, it's less probable.

To maximize your chances of catching both Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix, focus on Snowdrop Tundra during the event. However, be aware that Snowdrop Tundra demands a strong team, so prepare accordingly.
