This optional equipment requires specific player levels to unlock its three tiers:

  • Tier 1: Unlocked at Level 7. Purchase from the in-game shop.
  • Tier 2: Unlocked at Level 31. Upgrade cost: $3,000.
  • Tier 3: Unlocked at Level 72. Upgrade cost: $5,000.

Equip the microphone from the truck's equipment wall after selecting it in the shop. Activate/deactivate it using the designated button. Tier 3 features a directional radar.

On larger maps, the Parabolic Microphone excels at pinpointing ghost locations via sound cues (e.g., object throws, door movements, ghostly whispers). It can also help complete optional objectives requiring ghost voice recordings. Certain ghosts, like the Deogen or Banshee, produce unique sounds only detectable with this microphone, aiding identification.
