New Paldean Pokemon Added in Upcoming Pokemon GO Event

Summary

  • Shroodle and Grafaiai make their debut in Pokemon GO during the Fashion Week: Taken Over event starting January 15, 2025.
  • The event includes special research to save Shadow Palkia and introduces new Shadow Pokemon encounters.

Niantic has exciting news for Pokemon GO enthusiasts: Shroodle and its evolution, Grafaiai, are set to make their first appearance in the game during the Fashion Week: Taken Over event. This much-anticipated event kicks off on January 15, 2025, and promises a host of engaging activities and bonuses for players.

Shroodle, a unique Poison/Normal-type Pokemon introduced in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, features a large head and eyes that dominate its body. At level 28, Shroodle evolves into Grafaiai, a small primate resembling a lemur with distinctive large eyes and three-fingered hands. Both creatures have also appeared in Pokemon Horizons episodes, adding to their charm.

During the Fashion Week: Taken Over event, which runs from January 15 at 12 am to January 19 at 8 pm local time, players can encounter Shroodle by hatching 12 km eggs. Evolving Shroodle into Grafaiai will require 50 Shroodle Candy. The event also offers increased encounters with Team GO Rocket at PokeStops and in balloons, providing an opportunity for players to help Shadow Pokemon forget the Charged Attack Frustration using a Charged TM. Additionally, snapping a photo during the event might lead to a surprise encounter with a fashionably dressed Croagunk.
