Starting March 2025, you'll find this unique alarm clock at Target, Walmart, GameStop, and other participating retailers. Best of all? No Nintendo Online membership is required for purchase! While fans celebrate this wider availability, the anticipation for the Switch 2 remains high. Nintendo, however, remains tight-lipped on any official announcements regarding their next-generation console.

Alarmo's Instant Popularity

Alarmo's initial release on October 9, 2024, was a whirlwind. Demand surged, leading to a temporary suspension of sales on the My Nintendo Store in Japan, which implemented a lottery system for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers. Similarly, New York City saw an immediate sell-out, with retailers promising updates on restocking.

"We have received a large number of orders for the Nintendo Sound Clock Alarmo, which was released on October 9th, so we are currently suspending sales of the product on the My Nintendo Store. In response to this, we are currently preparing to change the sales method at My Nintendo Store to a lottery sale for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers, so please wait for a while. Wake Up to Fun with Alarmo's Features

Alarmo isn't your average alarm clock. Featuring charming sound effects and visuals from beloved Nintendo franchises like Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Splatoon 3, it offers 42 selectable scenes with more to come via free updates (including Animal Crossing: New Horizons!).

Choose your scene, and watch your favorite character patiently wait on the screen. As the alarm gently begins, the character springs into action. A visitor then arrives, and a simple hand wave or body movement will quiet the alarm. If you're a heavy sleeper, a more "persuasive" visitor and intensified sound will encourage you to rise and shine! No need to touch the clock thanks to its motion sensor.

Beyond the fun wake-up calls, Alarmo offers hourly chimes, sleep sounds, sleep pattern tracking, and a "Button Mode" for households with pets or other sleepers. While initially requiring a Nintendo Online membership, this requirement will be removed with the expanded release in March 2025.
