Where To Farm Dented Plates In NieR: Automata

Dented Plates are commonly dropped by several types of machines, including:

• Small Biped (All Variants)
• Small Flyer (All Variants)
• Small Sphere (All Variants)

These basic enemies are prevalent throughout your playthroughs and chapters. However, simply respawning enemies via fast travel and wandering around isn't the most effective way to farm materials. The optimal spot for farming Dented Plates is the pit where you first encounter Adam in the story.

To get there, fast-travel to the Desert: Housing Complex access point and proceed deeper into the ruins until you reach the pit. Here, machines spawn continuously as you defeat them, with a high concentration of basic Bipeds. Even if these enemies are at a lower level when you're farming, they still have a good chance of dropping Dented Plates. This location is also excellent for farming Titanium Alloy if you need that as well.

If you prefer a more dynamic farming experience, consider exploring the Forest Kingdom. Here, you'll encounter groups of Bipeds forming phalanxes with spears, which often drop at least one Dented Plate. Additionally, traversing the forest can lead you to wildlife, perfect for gathering Beast Hide. Advancing through the story increases your encounters with higher-level Bipeds, enhancing your chances of obtaining Dented Plates.
