As announced by Netflix Tudum, the official news site, "The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep" is set to debut on February 11, 2025. This film transports us to a seaside village where a centuries-old conflict between humans and merpeople has escalated, prompting a kingdom from the Continent to hire a Witcher. Instead of facing typical beasts like Basilisks and Cockatrices, Geralt will tackle the mysterious and dangerous merpeople.

Fans will be delighted to hear that Doug Cockle returns to voice Geralt, with Joey Batey and Anya Chalotra reprising their roles as Jaskier and Yennefer of Vengerberg. Christina Wren, known from the Will Trent TV series, joins the cast as Essi Daven, adding a fresh voice to the ensemble.

Andrzej Sapkowski, the mastermind behind The Witcher novels, serves as a creative consultant for the film. The writing duo of Mike Ostrowski and Rae Benjamin, who have penned episodes for the live-action series, bring their expertise to the script. Directing the film is Kang Hei Chul, the storyboard artist from "The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf," ensuring a visually stunning experience.

Takes Place During Season 1 of The Witcher’s Live-Adaptation Series

"The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep" slots perfectly into the timeline between episodes 5 and 6 of The Witcher's first season. After the events of "Bottled Appetites," where Geralt and Yennefer reunite in the Redanian city of Rinde after dealing with a Djinn, Geralt is commissioned by an unnamed kingdom to address a monster-related issue at its shores.

Given Rinde's location near the shores of Redania and Temeria, the film is likely set in this region. Specifically, if following the setting of "A Little Sacrifice," the story might unfold in Bremervoord City in Temeria, under the rule of Duke Agloval. As the release date approaches, fans are eager to see how closely the film adheres to the original short story.
