Monster Hunter Now Season 5: The Blossoming Blade Is Landing Soon!

Monster Hunter Now is gearing up for an exciting new chapter with the launch of Season 5: The Blossoming Blade, set to begin on March 6th, 2025. Niantic has unveiled a treasure trove of new content, including fresh challenges, weapons, a Season Pass, and an array of new monsters to hunt. But the excitement doesn’t stop there—prepare for some pre-season surprises!

Getting Ready for Monster Hunter Now Season 5

Before the official launch of Season 5, fans can look forward to the arrival of Chatacabra on February 28th. This marks its first appearance ahead of its debut in Monster Hunter Wilds. As the season kicks off, Glavenus and Arzuros will join the fray, promising thrilling new battles for hunters.

Weapon enthusiasts will be pleased to know that Season 5 includes balance adjustments aimed at enhancing the gameplay experience across all weapon types. The Sword & Shield is set to receive a significant buff, making it easier to target breakable parts like tails. Moreover, the Perfect Rush Combo (SP) will reward players with enhanced performance for well-timed taps, leading to more satisfying combat sequences.

The Guard skill is also in for an upgrade. Previously, leveling up Guard offered minimal benefits, but now, higher skill levels will substantially reduce damage when blocking. Stay tuned for more details on these tweaks in the full patch notes, which will be released on March 6th.

And There Is More!

For those struggling with inventory management, Monster Hunter Now Season 5 introduces a much-needed Item Box Expansion as a Supply Item. This expansion will provide an additional 250 slots, offering much-needed relief for your overflowing inventory.

In celebration of Monster Hunter Now’s 1.5-Year Anniversary on March 17th, a new feature will allow players to trade special materials earned from hunts and events for a variety of rewards. Expect to see items like Item Box Expansions, Weapon Refining Parts, Armor Refining Parts, and Wyvern Gem Shards available for trade.
