Should You Help the Miners in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2? (Post Scriptum Quest Guide)

Navigating the choices in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, particularly within the main and side quests, can be tricky. This guide focuses on the Post Scriptum quest and whether assisting the miners is the right path.

How to Start Post Scriptum in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Post Scriptum Quest Start

The Post Scriptum side quest begins in the Kuttenberg region. Find the tavern west of Kuttenberg city, and speak with Kvyertsolav to initiate the quest. You'll be tasked with writing a letter for the miners, but the situation is more complex than it first appears.

Write the Letter

Head to the Kuttenberg house to assist Kvyertsolav with the letter. Select the dialogue option, “Justice is worth more than silver.” You can choose to refine the letter, leave it as is, or make it more aggressive; the outcome remains the same. After writing, the miners might try to attack. A successful Speech check will allow you to de-escalate the situation.

Should You Turn the Miners Over to the Baliff?

If you successfully avoided an altercation, you can choose to turn the miners in to the baliff. This ends the quest immediately, rewarding you with 100 groschen. However, this isn't the optimal outcome or reward. It's better to deliver the letter to Markold.

Should You Help Markold or the Miners?

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Post Scriptum Quest Choice

Speak to the bodyguard at Markold's house to gain access and deliver the letter. You can blackmail Markold, give him the letter directly, or work with him against the miners. Blackmailing is generally not recommended due to a difficult Speech check and immediate quest conclusion.

Helping Markold involves killing three miners, yielding a paltry 60 groschen—the least desirable outcome.

The recommended approach is to deliver the letter to Markold as intended. He’ll give you seven groschen and direct you to meet miners north of the city. Meet them, proceed to their camp, and speak with Myslibor. A confrontation with Markold will ensue; help the miners defeat him to complete the quest. You'll receive 160 groschen from Myslibor and ensure the miners escape their difficult working conditions.
