Milly Alcock portrayed one of the most memorable characters in Game of Thrones lore, though her journey began with unexpected challenges. The Australian actress, known for her role as young Rhaenyra Targaryen in HBO's House of the Dragon, disclosed that a senior production member insisted she needed an acting coach after just two days on set.

"During my second day filming House of the Dragon, a high-ranking official—I won't name names—took me aside and said, 'We're arranging an acting coach for you,'" Alcock shared on The Tonight Show, recalling her initial embarrassment.

The Critics Choice-nominated actress laughed about the humbling experience. "It validated my secret fear that I might be terrible at acting," she joked. "I remember thinking, 'This is disastrous—they've made a huge mistake casting me.'"

Alcock, who will appear as Supergirl in upcoming DC films after starring as Princess Rhaenyra in Season 1 and making a Season 2 cameo, portrayed Viserys Targaryen's royal heir. Emma D'Arcy later assumed the role as the older version of the eventual queen.

The prequel series launched in August 2022, three years after Game of Thrones concluded. HBO greenlit Season 2 within days of premiere and renewed it for Season 3 in June 2024—before Season 2 aired. The show earned critical acclaim, including a Golden Globe for Best Drama Series.

While Season 3 production is confirmed, HBO has yet to announce its premiere date.
