MCU Movies Ranked: A Comprehensive Tier List

Author:Kristen Update:Mar 26,2025

With the release of Captain America: Brave New World, it's the perfect moment to reflect on the expansive Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), which now boasts an impressive lineup of 35 films. As we delve into this cinematic journey, which MCU movie captures your heart the most? Do you find yourself drawn to the early origin tales like Iron Man, or do you thrill to the epic team-ups that concluded the Infinity Saga? Share your thoughts and preferences using our interactive tier list tool below.

The MCU offers a vast selection of movies to choose from, but remember, we're focusing solely on films from Kevin Feige's MCU universe, so no Sony Marvel entries this time (sorry, X-Men fans, except for Wolverine). Below, you can explore my personal tier list, crafted based on my enjoyment over the years:

Unfortunately, Captain America: Brave New World didn't meet my expectations, landing in the D tier due to what might be the MCU's most cumbersome script to date. Similarly, my decision to place 2024's Deadpool & Wolverine at the bottom might raise eyebrows, but it simply didn't resonate with me. You can delve deeper into my reasons for this choice here. However, I believe Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania represents the lowest point for the MCU, easily earning its D-tier status.

On the other hand, the upper echelons of my list celebrate the five films I consider truly exceptional. Both Captain America: Civil War and Winter Soldier effortlessly secure S-tier spots, resonating deeply with the MCU's emotional core and delivering compelling espionage narratives. Thor: Ragnarok stands out as one of the decade's most hilarious comedies, while Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame masterfully conclude the saga's most pivotal arc.

Do you disagree with my rankings? Perhaps you believe No Way Home is the pinnacle of the Tom Holland Spider-Man trilogy, or that Black Panther deserves an S-tier spot? Feel free to create your own MCU movie tier list below, comparing your S, A, B, C, and D tiers with the entire IGN community.
