Doctor Strange's absence from Avengers: Doomsday is attributed to a narrative decision, with his character arc not aligning with the film's storyline. This upcoming installment features Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom and reportedly Chris Evans, though plot details remain scarce. The Russo Brothers are directing, continuing the multiverse storyline, with Hayley Atwell's Agent Carter also rumored to appear.

Phase 6 of the MCU commences with The Fantastic Four: First Steps this July. Avengers: Doomsday is slated for May 1, 2026, followed by Avengers: Secret Wars on May 7, 2027.
