Marvel Contest of Champions (MCoC) extends beyond the mobile realm; it boasts an arcade edition at Dave & Buster's, offering a unique 3v3 battle experience for two players. The winner is decided through a best-of-three match format. However, the real draw is the post-match reward: a Champion Card, a physical collectible featuring a Marvel hero or villain from the game.

These cards aren't just for show; they're scannable in the arcade machine, allowing players to select specific champions before a match. With two series released, over 175 cards (including standard and foil variants) are available. Whether you're a competitive player or a collector, this guide covers everything you need to know about MCoC Champion Cards.
Understanding Champion Cards
MCoC Champion Cards are physical trading cards dispensed by MCoC arcade machines at Dave & Buster's. Each card represents a game character and can be used to select your champion in the arcade game. If you don't scan a card, the machine randomly selects champions for you.
Each card showcases a Marvel character from MCoC and has a foil variant, mirroring collectible arcade cards from games like Mario Kart Arcade GP and Injustice Arcade. Series 1 featured 75 champions, while Series 2 added 100, including some reskins of Series 1 characters.
A Champion Card is dispensed to each player after every match, win or lose. The card awarded is random, ensuring equal chances for all players. Cards are drawn from either Series 1 (75 champions) or Series 2 (100 champions), each with rarer foil variants.
While not mandatory for arcade gameplay, Champion Cards add strategic depth and personalization. Instead of random assignments, players can strategically select their champions. Note that these cards don't transfer to the mobile MCoC game, but they enhance the arcade experience with a collectible element. For mobile MCoC improvement tips, check out our beginner's guide!
Rarity and Collectibility of Champion Cards
Like traditional trading cards, MCoC Champion Cards have collector value. While functionality is identical in-game, the pursuit of a complete set, including foil versions, is a popular goal. Series 2 introduced new designs and reskins, resulting in multiple versions of some characters.
Collectors aim for complete sets, specific characters, or solely foil cards. Their exclusive availability at Dave & Buster's adds to their appeal. For digital roster building, play MCoC on PC with BlueStacks for enhanced control, screen size, and smoother gameplay!
Acquiring Marvel Contest of Champions Champion Cards
Currently, these cards are exclusively available at Dave & Buster's locations with the MCoC arcade cabinet. They can't be purchased in-game or earned through the mobile version.
Staying updated on Dave & Buster's arcade updates is crucial for future series releases.
MCoC Champion Cards introduce a physical collectible dimension to the arcade experience, adding excitement for players. Whether used in-game or collected as memorabilia, these cards offer a unique way to interact with the MCoC universe beyond the mobile app. Explore our other MCoC guides, including tier lists and beginner tips, on the blog.
