Major Mobile Release: Ark Lands on Smartphones with Exclusive Trailer

Ark: Ultimate Mobile Edition is now available on iOS and Android! This release includes a free-to-play single-player island experience. For access to all expansions (also purchasable individually) and additional perks, the Ark Subscription Pass is available for $4.99 monthly or $49.99 annually.

Our earlier speculation proved correct: Ark: Ultimate Mobile Edition launched today, accompanied by a new trailer and details. While I won't reiterate the game's core mechanics (refer to my previous article for that), I can confirm its availability on Google Play, the iOS App Store, and the Epic Games Mobile Store.

The base Ark experience is free, with expansions sold separately. Alternatively, the Ark Pass Subscription unlocks all current and future expansions, single-player console commands, bonus XP, free key drops, and exclusive server access.

Subscription Concerns

The subscription model might be a point of contention for some players who prefer one-time purchases. However, the option to buy expansions individually offers a degree of flexibility. The nature of server access, however, remains a potential concern, especially considering multiplayer's importance in the original Ark: Survival Evolved.
