What’s MageTrain Like?

MageTrain offers a unique blend of genres where you control a line of heroes that snake their way through an arena. Each hero autonomously attacks as you maneuver the entire group, aiming to avoid collisions with enemies and obstacles. Your strategic role involves managing the positioning of your heroes within the train, as their abilities vary based on their placement.

At launch, MageTrain features nine heroes, including one quirky character who throws birds. Each hero brings different skills to the table, influenced by whether they're at the front or part of the trailing group. You'll navigate through eight varied dungeons, combat 28 unique enemy types, and harness 30 different skills to fortify your team. Along the journey, you'll gather gold and power-ups to enhance your gameplay.

The roguelike structure of MageTrain ensures each playthrough is unique, with branching paths and upgrade choices that keep the game dynamic. Similar to games like Slay the Spire or FTL, there are no fixed levels, and progress isn't saved for later continuation. Every mistake, whether it's crashing into an obstacle or being overrun by enemies, means starting anew.
