LEGO has announced the launch of nine exciting new Star Wars sets, all set to hit the shelves on May 1, 2025. These releases are part of Disney's comprehensive celebration of May the 4th, known as Star Wars Day, which traditionally features a new Ultimate Collector Series Starship from LEGO. In 2023, fans were treated to Luke's X-Wing Starfighter, followed by the TIE Interceptor in 2024.
This year's highlight is the introduction of Jango Fett's Firespray Starship, famously recognized as Slave I among veteran Star Wars enthusiasts. LEGO confirmed in 2021 that the name was changed to Firespray Starship at Disney's request, aiming to distance the brand from any connotations linked to the term 'slave'. This rebranding appears to be permanent, four years on.

The most recent large-scale version of this iconic starship was released by LEGO in 2019, featuring 1007 pieces and inspired by its appearance in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. The upcoming 2025 model, however, boasts a significantly larger 2970 pieces, reflecting the ship's design from Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones. This new set, nearly three times the size of its predecessor, measures an impressive 7.5 inches high, 17.5 inches long, and 15.5 inches wide.
