Konosuba: Fateful Days Server Shutdown, Offline Variant Rumored

KonoSuba: Fantastic Days to Conclude Service in January 2025

The popular mobile RPG, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days, developed by Sesisoft, will cease operations on January 30th, 2025. Both the global and Japanese servers will shut down simultaneously, concluding nearly five years of service.

Despite the closure, developers are planning a limited offline version, allowing players to revisit the main storyline, key quests, and significant events. Further details regarding this offline version remain undisclosed.

In-App Purchases and Refunds

In-app purchases were disabled on October 31st, 2024. However, existing in-game Quartz and items remain usable until the service ends. Players who qualify for refunds on unused Quartz or unclaimed purchases from early 2024 can submit requests until January 30th, 2025. Official channels will close on February 28th, 2025.

A Look Back at KonoSuba: Fantastic Days

Initially launched in Japan in February 2020 and globally in August 2021, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days was the first mobile game adaptation of the KonoSuba franchise. The game featured a captivating narrative set in a world under threat from the Devil King's army, complemented by appealing visuals and a visual novel-style story mode.

Unfortunately, like many gacha RPGs, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days has succumbed to the challenges faced by the genre, including maintaining player engagement and managing the high costs of production.

With only a few months remaining, players who haven't experienced KonoSuba: Fantastic Days are encouraged to download it from the Google Play Store before the servers close.
