KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global Version Shuts Down, Is It Getting an Offline Version?

KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global Officially Shuts Down After 3.5-Year Run

Another game bites the dust! KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global, developed by Sumzap and published initially by Nexon before transitioning to Sesisoft, has officially ended its service on January 30th. While a relatively short lifespan compared to its Japanese counterpart (5 years), its 3.5-year run is respectable for an anime-based gacha game, particularly considering declining revenue in recent times.

The developers, who have shifted their focus to the Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade gacha game, maintained active support until the very end. This included new voiced story content and a final song release just three weeks prior to the shutdown. A farewell livestream in December, featuring Kazuma's voice actor, further showcased their dedication.

The Japanese version offers an impressive offline mode allowing players to revisit the story, voice lines, and character collection. While this feature isn't available for the Global version, fans can still access the complete main story archive on the Japanese YouTube channel.

While there's no offline option or dedicated YouTube archive for the Global version, players can still enjoy the memories made within the game. The developers' commitment to providing updates right up until the end demonstrates a respectful farewell to the Global player base.
