The King of Fighters AFK launches early access in Canada and Thailand for Android and iOS

The King of Fighters AFK is now available for early access in Thailand and Canada! Fans in these regions can download it immediately from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Early access players are guaranteed to recruit Mature from the Orochi Clan.

While the demise of King of Fighters Allstar may disappoint some, the arrival of King of Fighters AFK offers a new mobile experience. Pre-registration concluded last week, and the game's retro RPG-inspired take on the classic fighting franchise is now playable. NetMarble confirms that player progress will transfer to the full release.

King of Fighters AFK brings beloved characters from the series to mobile devices in a 5v5 battle format. Players build teams of unique characters and strategize formations for engaging combat.

A Different Approach

KoF AFK faces a challenge in winning back fans. Unlike King of Fighters Allstar, which featured notable crossovers (such as with WWE), KoF AFK adopts a genre further removed from the original series.

The Neo-Geo Pocket-inspired sprites and the guaranteed addition of Mature to early access players' rosters may appeal to some. However, the game might struggle to attract players wary of past disappointments. Hopefully, KoF AFK will provide a satisfying, casual experience for fans.
