InZOI Ditches Explicit Sex Scenes

The lead developers of the highly anticipated life simulation game, inZOI, recently addressed fan inquiries about the inclusion of sexual intercourse in the game. The assistant director's response was notably vague, avoiding direct mention of "sex." Essentially, it was suggested that if a male ZOI and a female ZOI retreat to bed together, the intention is to create children, but the visual depiction of this act is left to the player's imagination.

Perhaps that’s exactly what’s happening, but not at the level everyone expected.

This leaves players uncertain about whether the approach to sex in inZOI will mirror the censorship seen in The Sims series or if it will introduce a novel method.

Furthermore, the developers explained their decision to have ZOIs shower in towels rather than using pixelated censorship. This choice aligns better with games featuring more cartoonish graphics. In contrast, pixelation in a realistically styled game like inZOI could appear overly sexualized. Additionally, a technical issue was cited: when a naked ZOI with pixelated censorship approached a mirror, the blurring effect did not reflect properly.

All these questions find clarity when considering the game's ratings: ESRB - T (for teens) and an expected PEGI 12 rating. These ratings are identical to those assigned to The Sims 4, providing a benchmark for what players might expect in terms of content and censorship.
