Netflix Stories Expands with New Interactive Fiction Based on Popular Shows

Netflix Stories is adding two new interactive fiction series based on the popular shows Ginny & Georgia and Sweet Magnolias. These additions will allow viewers to engage with beloved characters from both series in original storylines.

Netflix Stories offers a collection of interactive fiction experiences built around popular Netflix shows. Players step into the roles of characters within visual novels set in the worlds of shows like Emily in Paris and Outer Banks.

Ginny & Georgia and Sweet Magnolias are the latest additions to Netflix Stories, launching later this year. Existing Netflix Stories titles, Love is Blind and Outer Banks, will also receive new story content.

Capitalizing on Interactive Storytelling

Netflix Games' continued investment in Stories is unsurprising. Many of their series aren't easily adapted into traditional video games. Interactive fiction provides an effective way to engage viewers and promote the Games service.

While the new Stories entries coincide with new seasons of the shows, the delayed release is a missed opportunity. Simultaneous releases would have maximized cross-promotion.
