Exciting news for Disney fans! The much-anticipated Lion King ride, set to grace Disneyland Paris, has just unveiled new images, detailed plans, and a construction start window slated for Fall 2025. As reported by the Disney Parks Blog, this innovative attraction will be a centerpiece of the reimagined Walt Disney Studios Park, soon to be renamed Disney Adventure World.

This first-ever land and attraction themed to The Lion King promises to be a major draw, featuring a thrilling water ride that transports guests through iconic scenes from the 1994 classic. The land will boast a majestic 120-foot-high Pride Rock and will be brimming with dining options, shopping experiences, character meet-and-greets, and much more.

This scene is just one highlight of the ride, which also includes an exhilarating 52-foot drop, slightly taller than the one found in Tiana's Bayou Adventure.

While an exact opening date is yet to be announced, the ride is expected to open following the grand debut of World of Frozen in 2026. It will form a crucial part of Disney Adventure World, which will expand the park's size twofold.

In addition to The Lion King ride and World of Frozen, Disney Adventure World will feature the previously announced Raiponce Tangled Spin ride, with Mandy Moore reprising her role as Rapunzel. Another highlight will be the first-ever attraction inspired by Up, designed as a "spinning carousel" that offers guests a "bird's eye view of the park's stunning scenery."
