How to Get a Horse in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

Author:Kristen Update:Mar 05,2025

In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, acquiring a horse is crucial for efficient traversal of the vast open world. Here's how to obtain one, focusing on two primary methods: reclaiming your original horse and stealing one.

Reclaiming Pebbles:

Your starting horse, Pebbles, can be retrieved from the horse trader in Semine, located in the southern part of the game world. However, regaining possession isn't straightforward. You'll need to either pay the trader a sum of Groschen, or employ persuasion/intimidation skills. Improving Henry's appearance (e.g., by acquiring finer clothing) can enhance your persuasion chances, potentially allowing you to obtain Pebbles without financial outlay, although this might slightly impact your reputation in Semine.

Stealing a Horse:

Alternatively, you can acquire a horse through less legitimate means. While wild horses are rare, farms and stables offer opportunities. This method carries the risk of being apprehended by the owners.

A viable option involves visiting the farmhouse near Vidlak Pond in the west. The fishermen residing there possess two horses, either of which can be stolen and ridden away.

Subsequently, visit the Nomads' Camp east of Vidlak Pond. There, a horse trainer NPC can teach you how to saddle and tame your newly acquired steed, though this service requires payment. Alternatively, you can forgo this step and ride the horse untamed.
