Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) announced significant leadership changes, effective April 1, 2025. Hideaki Nishino has been appointed sole CEO of SIE, succeeding the previous leadership structure implemented after Jim Ryan's retirement. This restructuring sees Nishino assuming full responsibility for SIE operations and the platform business group.

A concurrent press release revealed that Sony Corporation's CFO, Hiroki Totoki, will become the new president and CEO of the entire company, replacing Kenichiro Yoshida. Lin Tao, SVP of finance, corporate development, and strategy, will step into Totoki's previous role as CFO.

Last year, SIE leadership was divided between Nishino (hardware and technology) and Hermen Hulst (PlayStation Studios). Hulst will continue leading PlayStation Studios.

Nishino, a Sony veteran since 2000, expressed his honor in leading SIE, emphasizing the importance of technology and creativity in delivering engaging entertainment experiences. He highlighted plans for PlayStation community growth through IP expansion and technological innovation, thanking Hulst for his continued contributions.
