Harukanaru Toki no Naka de Is Getting a New Game Ryuuguu no Miko for Its 25th Anniversary

Koei Tecmo and Ruby Party are marking the 25th anniversary of Harukanaru Toki no Naka de with a major celebration. They have unveiled a brand-new mobile installment titled Harukanaru Toki no Naka de: Ryuuguu no Miko. The beloved series originally debuted on the PlayStation in 2000.

Pre-registration is now open for this otome adventure RPG, which offers exciting news for fans. However, the title will be exclusive to Japan and is scheduled for release on December 15. A global version has not been announced yet.

What’s the story?

This latest chapter immerses players in Ryugu, an underwater city governed by a dragon god. You assume the role of a contemporary university student who is transported to another world following a fierce storm during a trip to Dan-no-ura.

As monsters descend from the sky, Kiyomori, a man dressed in traditional kimono attire, rescues you and promises your guidance as he leads you into the depths. There, you are selected as the Divine Child, tasked with safeguarding the balance of time and space alongside the Eight Leaves—warriors hailing from various periods of Japanese history.

Life within Ryugu offers a mix of mundane and magical experiences. You reside with the Eight Leaves, engaging in seasonal conversations that deepen your connections through subtle details before facing greater challenges.

Romance plays a pivotal role in Harukanaru Toki no Naka de: Ryuuguu no Miko. Your choices determine whether bonds evolve into friendships or love stories. Intimate moments, such as sleeping beside your chosen hero or listening to his voice fade into sleep, add warmth and closeness to the narrative.

Each member of the Eight Leaves is tied to a distinct historical era, including Heian, Sengoku, and late Edo periods. Traveling back in time forms a key part of the plot, bringing you face-to-face with enraged deities.
