Hades 2 Nears Completion Ahead of Full Launch

Supergiant Games recently marked Hades 2's first year in early access (since May 6, 2024) with a celebratory post on X (formerly Twitter). The developers expressed gratitude to players while confirming they're approaching the finish line.

Their statement reads: "It's been incredibly exciting and eye-opening as we've worked to realize the potential so many of you see in our game. Thank you for all your feedback and patience as we get closer to the finish line!"

The original Hades had a 22-month early access period before full launch. Supergiant appears to be accelerating Hades 2's timeline, with its debut planned as a timed exclusive for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.

Nintendo Switch 2 Launch Confirmed

Through Nintendo's Creator's Voice series, Supergiant confirmed Hades 2 will premiere on Nintendo Switch 2. With the new console launching June 5, the game could release shortly afterward.

This sequel to the award-winning roguelike represents Supergiant's first franchise follow-up. Developers admitted approaching sequel development required "a great deal of fear and respect" toward the original's legacy.
