Analyst Matthew Ball previously argued that if Rockstar and Take-Two raised prices for AAA titles, it could revitalize the gaming industry. As a result, players have been weighing whether they’d be willing to spend $100 on the standard edition of Grand Theft Auto 6.

Surprisingly, many are ready to pay up. Over one-third of nearly 7,000 survey respondents said they’re fine with the price for Rockstar’s upcoming open-world title, despite Ubisoft pushing players toward pricier deluxe editions.

Not long ago, Matthew Ball’s bold claim went viral, suggesting that $100 price tags for games could rescue the industry. He believes Rockstar and Take-Two could lead by example, setting a new standard for other publishers.

Rockstar has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online will receive updates in 2025, aligning the PC version with the PS5 and Xbox Series editions. While details are scarce, these updates are expected to go beyond mere graphical enhancements.

The GTA+ subscription, currently limited to PS5 and Xbox Series players, might soon expand to PC. Additionally, some console-exclusive features for Grand Theft Auto Online, like Hao’s unique car modifications for ultra-high speeds, are absent on PC.

There’s a strong possibility that these high-speed tuning options will soon be available for PC players too.
