Gran Turismo and Forza's main competitor Assetto Corsa EVO is released today

Get ready, racing fans! Assetto Corsa EVO, from Kunos Simulazioni Studios, roars onto Steam Early Access on January 16, 2025.

Initially, the game will feature a thrilling roster of 20 meticulously detailed cars and 5 iconic tracks: Imola, Brands Hatch, Bathurst, Laguna Seca, and Suzuka. Even in Early Access, expect stunningly realistic physics, precise handling, and authentic car behavior.

A standout feature is the free-roam mode, offering unparalleled freedom. A significant summer 2025 update promises a massive addition: a fully laser-scanned open world encompassing the legendary Nürburgring and its surrounding roads, spanning a breathtaking 1600 square kilometers, with further expansions planned.

Assetto Corsa EVO boldly positions itself as a top-tier car simulator, aiming to rival industry titans like Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport. This ambition is backed by photorealistic visuals and cutting-edge physics.

The launch version will boast 100 vehicles and 15 tracks, with many more to come via free post-launch updates. Prepare for hyper-realistic circuit recreations, complete with dynamic tire wear, wet track conditions, and lively, animated spectators.

Enhanced car dynamics, suspension, and shock absorption elevate the driving experience. The Driving Academy mode, a key Early Access single-player feature, challenges players to conquer specified tracks within time limits, ultimately earning a license to unlock the game's most coveted vehicles.
