More gameplay and release date of DOOM: The Dark Ages is finally revealed

Bethesda and id Software showcased a new DOOM: The Dark Ages demo during the Xbox showcase, confirming earlier leaks of a May 15th release date.

This medieval-themed installment offers a distinct gameplay experience compared to DOOM: Eternal. Players will adopt a more grounded, tank-like combat style, emphasizing powerful weaponry over acrobatic maneuvers. Forget the constant jumping and parkour; expect heavy-hitting action from a closer range.

The core combat tools include a shield and mace, providing a unique approach to demon slaying. A standout feature is the inclusion of a giant mech suit for battling smaller demons, and even the opportunity to ride a dragon during the campaign.

A customizable difficulty system allows players to fine-tune the challenge, adjusting enemy damage and other parameters to their preferred level.
