New Game Announced by Streets of Rage 4 Developers

Publisher Dotemu, in collaboration with studios Guard Crush Games and Supamonks, has announced the upcoming release of Absolum—a thrilling fantasy beat 'em up infused with roguelite mechanics. Set in the mystical world of Talamh, the game unfolds after a devastating magical cataclysm that has left its inhabitants wary of magic. Seizing on this fear, the tyrannical King-Sun Azra, with the aid of his oppressive Crimson Order, has enslaved the mages. In defiance, a courageous band of heroes emerges to challenge his rule. This group includes the necromancer Galandra, the rebellious gnome Karl, the mage Brom, and the enigmatic Sidr.

Players will dive into a world of intense action, featuring upgradable abilities, powerful combos, and enchanting magical spells. Absolum offers both single-player and cooperative modes, allowing players to team up and unleash devastating combinations through synchronized attacks.

The auditory experience of Absolum is set to be equally captivating, with its soundtrack composed by the renowned Gareth Coker (known for his work on Ori and Halo Infinite), Yuka Kitamura (famed for Dark Souls and Elden Ring), and Mick Gordon (behind the music of DOOM Eternal and Atomic Heart).

Absolum is slated for release in 2025 and will be available on PS4/5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, promising an immersive gaming experience for fans of the genre.
