After parting ways with Hans, your path to the wedding involves securing a job—either with the blacksmith or the miller. Even if you opt against the blacksmith's job, its map marker conveniently leads you to the bow. While the blacksmith job is a route to Semine's wedding and eventually the hermit's sword, that comes later.

The blacksmith resides in Tachov, north of Troskowitz (where the prologue concludes). West of Troskowitz, follow the road north. At the fork where a smaller road branches west, turn right towards a cluster of trees. This seemingly unremarkable cluster conceals a small training area.

Within this area, you'll find a target with arrows—free ammo! To the right of the tree, you'll discover the Dogwood Village Bow leaning against the trunk. Help yourself to some brew from the nearby stump and gather mushrooms while you're at it. Once you're equipped, continue your quest.

While purchasable from Huntsman’s Son Vitek in Tachov, the Dogwood Village Bow isn't the most powerful ranged weapon. Given its proximity to the free alternative, purchasing it isn't cost-effective. However, Vitek offers superior weapons, and alchemy (herb gathering and potion brewing) provides a lucrative income stream.

Regardless of your chosen method, a ranged weapon significantly enhances combat, particularly for those who prefer ranged combat over the melee-focused style of *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*. The game's combat mechanics remain largely similar to the first installment.

After acquiring the bow, continue to Tachov for the blacksmith job (saving after forging a sword) or proceed to the miller to advance the main quest. With a ranged weapon at your disposal, you'll face *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*'s challenges with greater ease.

That's how to acquire the free Dogwood Village Bow early in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*.
