Fortnite Hunters has kicked off Chapter 6 with an exciting array of new features, including an expansive map to explore, the introduction of powerful Oni Masks and Typhoon Blades, and intense boss battles. As the season unfolds, players are treated to a constant stream of fresh content, including unique items added to the loot pool and new gameplay elements to master.

With Winterfest now behind us, Fortnite Hunters has rolled out its first major update, reintroducing some fan-favorite unvaulted items from Chapter 4. While the Kinetic Blade has caught the attention of many, the Lock On Pistol is another weapon that players are eager to get their hands on, designed to enhance accuracy and help secure those crucial hits.

How To Get The Lock On Pistol

The Lock On Pistol, classified as a Rare rarity weapon, can be found as floor loot or inside chests throughout the Fortnite map. While its rarity makes it somewhat easier to find than other rare items, players may still need to open multiple chests to increase their chances of discovering this coveted weapon.

An alternative method to obtain the Lock On Pistol is through fishing at designated Fishing Spots with a Fishing Rod. These spots are known to increase the likelihood of catching a Rare item, thus providing a good opportunity to snag the Lock On Pistol.

How To Use The Lock On Pistol

The Lock On Pistol operates much like other semi-automatic pistols in Fortnite, delivering 25 damage per shot. Its unique selling point, however, is the Lock-On feature. When aiming down sights, a targeting circle appears around the reticle. As long as an enemy remains within this circle, every bullet fired will hit the target, assuming they're not behind cover.

This feature is effective against players gliding in the air or hiding in bushes. However, the Lock-On mechanism only works within a 50-meter range, necessitating close proximity to the target. For those who prefer a more aggressive playstyle, the Lock On Pistol can also be fired from the hip, though this method does not utilize the weapon's primary Lock-On capability.
