Fortnite x Monsterverse: Boss Battles, Mechagodzilla, and Kong Revealed

It's been widely anticipated that Fortnite would introduce a Godzilla skin on January 17, and now, thanks to a leak, all the details about the collaboration with Monsterverse have surfaced. Epic Games has preemptively rolled out an update that will go live on the said date, and eager dataminers have uncovered what's in store. Alongside the standard Godzilla skin available in the battle pass, fans can look forward to purchasing Mechagodzilla and Kong skins as part of a set in the in-game store. This bundle will also feature bespoke jet packs and pickaxes tailored for each character, adding a unique flair to your Fortnite arsenal.

Come January 17, Fortnite will also roll out a thrilling new boss event. One lucky player on the map will transform into a colossal Godzilla, wielding its iconic atomic breath. Teaming up will be essential as players work together to take down this behemoth. The player who inflicts the most damage on Godzilla throughout the battle will be rewarded with a medallion that grants a special ability, making this event not just fun but also a strategic challenge.

The Mechagodzilla and Kong set will be available in the Fortnite store at the usual time, with the following pricing:

  • Kong: 1500 V-bucks
  • Mechagodzilla: 1,800 V-bucks
  • Two pickaxes: 800 V-bucks each
  • One Emote: 400 V-bucks
  • Two Wraps: 500 V-bucks each
  • Complete Set: 2800 V-bucks

Fortnite is no stranger to celebrity visits, with a diverse range of performers and artists gracing its virtual stages. There's buzz about a potential appearance by the beloved Vocaloid, Hatsune Miku. Social media interactions between the Hatsune Miku account, which humorously inquired about a missing backpack, and the Fortnite Festival account, which playfully claimed to have it, have sparked excitement. Fans can anticipate not just the standard Vocaloid skin but also a "Miku the Catgirl" variant, a stylized pickaxe, and a virtual Hatsune Miku concert, making for an immersive experience.
