On January 9, Treyarch rolled out a significant update for Black Ops 6, introducing a series of enhancements and fixes across both Multiplayer and Zombies modes. The update addressed numerous bugs in the UI and audio systems and increased the XP rewards for the newly introduced Red Light, Green Light game mode in Multiplayer. In response to a fan's request for a way to track challenges during Multiplayer matches, Treyarch confirmed that this feature is "currently in the works." The absence of challenge tracking in Black Ops 6, despite its inclusion in Modern Warfare 3, had left many fans feeling let down, especially since both games are accessible through the Call of Duty HQ app.

The reintroduction of challenge tracking is poised to revolutionize the way players approach Black Ops 6's challenging Mastery camos. Similar to its implementation in Modern Warfare 3, players will likely be able to select a specific challenge, such as achieving headshot milestones for weapon camos, and view real-time progress through the in-game UI. This will enable gamers to monitor their progress mid-match, rather than waiting until the game concludes.
