How to Fast Travel in Dynasty Warriors Origins

Dynasty Warriors: Origins, while not open-world, features a sizable map that can become challenging to navigate as the game progresses. Unlocking new skirmishes and requests often necessitates significant backtracking. Fortunately, fast travel significantly reduces this travel time, especially for players aiming to complete all side content.

Fast Travel in Dynasty Warriors: Origins

Fast travel utilizes Waymarks accessible via the in-game map. To enable fast travel to a Waymark, players must first unlock it by approaching it on the world map and holding X (PlayStation) or A (Xbox). The unlocked Waymark then appears on the map screen, enabling instant travel.

Accessing the map is possible in two ways: interacting with an unlocked Waymark on the world map (outside of battle), or pausing the game and navigating to the Map menu using the shoulder buttons. PlayStation users can also access the map quickly by pressing the DualSense touchpad while on the world map.

The map screen displays nearby key locations and battles when hovering over an unlocked Waymark. Pressing Square (PlayStation) or X (Xbox) toggles information about these locations. Cycling through available battles and locations is done using Triangle (PlayStation) or Y (Xbox), allowing players to select the closest Waymark to their desired destination.
