New EA Sports UFC 5 Update Adds Undefeated Fighter

EA Sports UFC 5 receives a significant update on January 9th, launching at 1 PM ET for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. This patch (1.18) introduces undefeated fighter Azamat Murzakanov and addresses several bugs.

EA Vancouver, the game's developer, continues to enhance UFC 5, addressing earlier player concerns about the initial roster. The addition of Murzakanov, boasting impressive stats (97 power punch, 95 accuracy, 94 ground striking), demonstrates this commitment. Furthermore, three new fighter alter egos are included, though their identities remain undisclosed.

Beyond the new content, patch 1.18 includes gameplay refinements, notably a reduction in the stamina cost of the muscle modifier. Several bug fixes are also implemented, including correcting translation errors and resolving a Ranked Championship issue ("Stand and Bang").

This update coincides with EA Sports UFC 5's arrival on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate via EA Play, starting January 14th. This makes the game accessible to a wider audience.
