Dying Light: The Beast's launch has been delayed by four weeks to allow for additional polish. The new release date is September 19, 2025.

Developer Techland announced that Kyle Crane's monstrous zombie-slaying adventure will arrive slightly later than planned, moving from its original August 21 release.

The studio explained the decision in a blog post, stating: "Our goal has always been to make Dying Light: The Beast the finest entry in the series. To honor this commitment, we have decided to shift the launch to September 19, 2025, giving us time for final polishing."

"We know this news may disappoint fans, but our experience underscores the importance of a strong first impression," the Polish developer added. "These four extra weeks let us refine crucial details that separate a good game from a great one. Key areas for improvement include fine-tuning gameplay balance, enhancing UI clarity, upgrading physics quality, and further polishing cutscenes and player animations with final touches."

The announcement also confirmed that a public demo for The Beast will be available at this year's gamescom. Furthermore, development updates will continue next week with a deep dive into the game's gore system. Delicious.
