Dune Awakening received new trailer and official release date

The highly anticipated survival MMO, Dune: Awakening, is set to launch on PC May 20th, capitalizing on the success of Denis Villeneuve's acclaimed film adaptations. Developer Funcom's announcement confirms this eagerly awaited release date, with console versions to follow. A new gameplay trailer showcases the game's core elements: the harsh Arrakis desert landscape, extensive base-building mechanics, thrilling combat encounters, and the iconic sandworms—all hallmarks of the Dune universe.

Players take on the role of a prisoner exiled to Arrakis, beginning their journey with an escape from captivity and a perilous quest to unravel the mystery surrounding the vanished Fremen.

To ensure a smooth launch, Funcom has proactively released both a benchmark tool and a character creator. This allows players to optimize their PC settings and meticulously craft their characters ahead of time, minimizing delays on launch day.
