According to the official Dune: Awakening website, preloading will begin 24 hours before launch for all pre-order holders on June 4th, starting at 7 AM PDT / 10 AM EDT. Please note that while Standard Edition owners can preload the game, they will not receive early access.

How to Preload and Pre-Download

Anyone who has pre-ordered any edition of the game can preload it starting June 4, 2025, at 7 AM PDT / 10 AM EDT. This is 24 hours before the servers open for players with head start access.

Pre-Download on PlayStation and Xbox

A release date for consoles has not been announced yet, so pre-downloads for Dune: Awakening on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S are not currently available. We will update this guide as soon as the release date and pre-download information are confirmed.

Preload and Pre-Download File Size

Minimum Required Storage is 60GB

Funcom has not officially announced the final pre-download file size. However, players should prepare at least 60 GB of free space, as this is the minimum requirement listed to run the game on Low settings.
