Sony and Kojima Productions have officially confirmed asynchronous multiplayer in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, continuing the series' signature "social strand system" from the original. Crucially, these online features won't require a PlayStation Plus subscription.
The PlayStation Store description reveals players will encounter roads, bridges, and other structures built by other players, enhancing exploration and collaboration. These interactive elements unlock as players connect different game regions.
Hideo Kojima will be at SXSW on March 10, 2025, offering further details on gameplay mechanics, innovations, and narrative. Recent updates confirm the game's trailer is in final editing, with music playing a key role in storytelling.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach launches exclusively on PlayStation 5 in late 2025. This highly anticipated sequel builds upon the original's unique interactive elements, promising a captivating experience for both veterans and newcomers. Expect more updates soon!
