Confirmed: Marvel Rivals will be getting 2 heroes every 3 months

NetEase Games is committed to keeping Marvel Rivals fresh with regular updates. The plan is for updates approximately every six weeks, introducing two new heroes each quarter. This ensures players always have something new to explore.

Game director Guangyun Chen explained that each season's update is divided into two parts: one new hero in the first half, and another in the second. This approach maintains player engagement. Beyond new heroes, updates will also include new maps, storylines, and objectives.

Several characters have already been revealed, including the upcoming Blade and Altron (previously leaked), and the recently announced full Fantastic Four team.

According to GameLook, a Chinese publication, Marvel Rivals generated approximately $100 million globally, with a significant portion from the Chinese market. This marks a significant entry for Marvel into the gaming world, building on their film industry success.

Marvel Rivals successfully filled a void in the hero-shooter genre following the less-than-stellar reception of Square Enix's Avengers. NetEase delivered a high-quality game featuring a compelling roster of characters, receiving positive reviews upon release.
