How to Become a Shinigami in Hollow Era

You begin as a Soul Spirit, essentially deceased. To become a Shinigami, accept the initial quest from the NPC, Hurt Shinigami, who desperately needs your help. This choice is irreversible; you cannot switch to the Hollow path unless you become a Visored (explained later). If you prefer the Hollow path, please refer to our Hollow progression guide.

The Shinigami/Hollow choice has a time limit. For Shinigami, a chain slowly breaks every two minutes. If you wait too long, the chain breaks completely, forcing you to become a Hollow. In that case, consult our resurrection moves list for Hollow endgame strategies.

Hollow Era Shinigami Quests Guide

Your first quest involves purifying six Lost Souls. Subsequent quests, indicated by a red crosshair, involve tasks like delivering letters and defeating Hollows and corrupted Shinigami. These quests progress you to level 15 and beyond. Quest types include repeatable, progression, and path-specific quests (like Vizard and Airwalk).

Early on, acquire a $1000 random power sword from a Urakara shop. Consider the $200 bus stop teleport or the 149 Robux infinite fast travel option to navigate the large map efficiently.

Full Soul Reaper Skill Tree and Reiatsu

Strategic skill point allocation is crucial for maximizing your Reiatsu. The Reiatsu Skill Tree offers powerful Kido abilities (exclusively for Shinigami):

• Caja Negacion: A lightning beam. Combines with Electric for area-of-effect damage.
• Shakkaho: An explosive energy ball. Ragdoll and Fire enhancements are available.
• Chain Bind: Energy chains to pull enemies closer.
• Prison of Light: Immobilizes enemies with light rods.
• Thunder Sear: A slow-moving lightning ball that explodes on contact.

Kido nodes increase Kido damage, while Reiatsu nodes increase your maximum Reiatsu.

How to Get Shikai in Hollow Era

Reach level 15 to unlock the Shikai Training quest from Urihiro. Defeat Urahara Kisuke to obtain Shikai powers. Note: This fight is challenging at level 15; consider reaching level 25+ for an easier victory.

Shikai grants a random powerful ability to your weapon. Re-roll it at the Urahara Shop if unsatisfied. Activate Shikai (default Y key) when your Rage Bar is full. Shikai ends when your Reiatsu is depleted or you release the Y key.

Hollow Era Shikai Mastering

Shikai Mastery increases with Mastery Points earned by using Shikai. Higher Mastery Levels reduce Rage consumption and grant visual effects and power boosts:

• Mastery Level 1 (1-149 Points): Transparent Aura
• Mastery Level 2 (150-299 Points): Brighter, particle-filled aura
• Mastery Level 3 (300-499 Points): Lightning boost
• Mastery Level 4 (500+ Points): Zone of flying stones

Becoming a Visored in the Hollow Era

Reach level 50 to unlock the Vizard quest at the Vizard’s Warehouse. Becoming a Visored allows you to switch between Shinigami and Hollow forms using your Hollow Mask. This involves obtaining Hogyoku (1% drop rate from the King of Hueco Mundo) and mastering the Vizard fighting style.

Visored perks include Mask Control (reduces Hollow control) and the Visored node (extends mask usage time and damage).
