Clair Obscur: Expedition 33's first update patch notes have been unveiled, bringing essential bug fixes and localization enhancements. Dive into the details of what this update offers and discover which other RPG the game's creative director recommends.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has released its first update post-launch. In a detailed Steam blog post dated April 30, Sandfall Interactive announced the rollout of Hotfix 1.2.2, which targets multiple in-game issues and improves localization.
This update addresses critical bugs such as soft-locks caused by stunning the Grown Bourgeon and similar issues on the world map. Additionally, enhancements to the French, German, and Chinese language options have been implemented to improve the gaming experience for a wider audience.
The developers are committed to ongoing improvements and have promised more updates soon. While these patches are vital for refining the game, the community is eagerly anticipating larger content expansions, such as potential DLCs. Earlier this week, Expedition 33's lead writer took to Instagram to engage with fans about the possibility of future DLCs. Although no official confirmation was given, the response was optimistic, hinting at the likelihood of additional content due to the game's successful launch.
In related news, Sandfall Games' Creative Director Guillaume Broche spotlighted another RPG released concurrently with Expedition 33. On April 30, via Expedition 33's Twitter (X), Broche encouraged fans to explore The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy, describing it as "another great turn-based RPG made with love by an awesome team."
This recommendation came in response to The Hundred Line's co-director Kazutaka Kodaka's earlier tweet on April 28, where he praised Expedition 33 and invited fans to experience both titles. Kodaka's enthusiasm continued in a series of tweets that celebrated the two RPGs.
Despite the competitive launch window alongside other notable RPGs like Expedition 33 and Oblivion Remastered, The Hundred Line has garnered a "Very Positive" reception on Steam. Meanwhile, Expedition 33 continues to dominate as the highest-rated game of 2025, achieving over 1 million sales within just three days of release.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Stay updated with the latest news and developments by clicking on our article below!
