Nothing's scarier than a talking house cat, right? Fortunately, if your Palico in Monster Hunter Wilds is getting a little too chatty, you can easily change its language. Here's how:

There are two ways to adjust your Palico's communication style: through the game settings or the character creator.

Method 1: Game Settings

  1. Press the Options button to open the menu.
  2. Navigate to Game Settings, then the Audio tab.
  3. Find the "Palico Language" option. You'll have two choices:
    • Felyne Language: Your Palico will meow and purr, requiring you to read subtitles to understand.
    • Set Voice Type: Your Palico will speak in your game's language.

Method 2: Character Creator

  1. Access your tent and open the character creator from the menu.
  2. While customizing your Palico's appearance, you can also select its language (Felyne or your game's language). You can also adjust its voice pitch and tone here.

Gameplay remains unaffected by this choice, so pick whichever you prefer. While Felyne language adds to the game's immersive charm, constantly reading subtitles might be inconvenient. Conversely, having your Palico speak your language offers practicality, especially during intense hunts. The choice is yours!
