Newly surfaced 2005 James Bond audition tapes showcase Henry Cavill's take on 007, predating Daniel Craig's casting.

Games Radar highlights the Ron South YouTube channel, run by a filmmaker, as the source of these leaked tapes. Cavill's audition is among those of Sam Worthington, Rupert Friend, and Anthony Starr.

Cavill's performance has garnered significant praise, with many, including Casino Royale director Martin Campbell, hailing it as "tremendous." While Campbell reportedly favored Cavill, the final decision favored Craig.

Cavill later fulfilled his spy aspirations in Argylle, a film starring Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Rockwell, Bryan Cranston, and Catherine O’Hara. Despite its star-studded cast, Argylle received mixed reviews, scoring a mere 4/10 on IGN.

Cavill's career remains diverse and successful, encompassing iconic roles such as Superman for DC, Geralt of Rivia in Netflix's The Witcher, and numerous other notable parts.
