Capcom has recently taken a significant step by filing an application to register the Dino Crisis trademark in Japan, a move that has now been made public. While this doesn't confirm the development of a new game, it certainly hints at Capcom's active interest in reviving the beloved franchise.

By securing the Dino Crisis trademark, Capcom could be setting the stage for exciting future projects, possibly including a remake of the classic dinosaur survival horror series. Created by Shinji Mikami, the visionary behind Resident Evil, Dino Crisis first captivated players in 1999 on the PlayStation 1. The series saw two sequels but went quiet after the third game's release in 2003, leaving fans eagerly anticipating a return.

These speculations are not without foundation. Last year, Capcom expressed its commitment to "revitalize older franchises that haven’t seen new releases in recent years." This statement followed closely on the heels of announcements for the Okami Sequel and Onimusha: Way of the Sword.
