Starting the Lion's Crest

After completing the tutorial and gaining access to the open world, locate the scribe Gaibl in Troskowitz. He will provide you with a cryptic riddle and the smithing recipe for Brunswick's polearm. You'll need to gather the necessary materials yourself, then craft the weapon at a blacksmith's forge.

Deciphering the Riddle

The riddle reads:

"Take your leave of crone and maiden, standing tall behind the gates, boldly go towards true midnight, in caverns cold your prize awaits. Pass through the hall of forest kings, hidden deep from hunters’ gaze, standing tall two guards of stone, behind who yearned for treasure lays. Between then stands a mighty rock, a subtle niche yet deeper still, a place to give one’s heart to God, behold my armour gleaming still."

This leads you to Trosky Castle. Exit through the northern gates and head north, entering a forest.

Follow the path, keeping an eye on the left. You'll find rocky formations with crevices. Traverse these to discover a cave containing a chapel. Examine the cross near the rock to find the first piece of Brunswick's armor and two treasure maps.

Treasure Map Locations

• Map 1: Continue west along the road from the chapel to a crossroads. Head north into the woods to locate a wolf den. The armor piece is in a bag near the trees above the den.

• Map 2: This map leads to Vidlak Pond. Behind the fisherman's house, find a large rock formation along the cliffs. A chest containing the armor is near a cross on the rocks.

• Map 3: Fast travel to Zhelejov. Leave the tavern and cross two bridges towards Tachov. After the second bridge, take a path to the river and forest. Follow it to a hill; the armor is in a bag near a large tree at the hilltop.

• Map 4: This final map takes you to a hill between the Nomads' Camp and Bozhena's Hut. Look for rocks with a cross; the final armor piece is there.
