Black Ops 6 Cheaters Eject Players; Activision

In late January, a video surfaced online demonstrating the operation of a tool that enables hackers to remove players from matches in Black Ops 6. The video was captured during the Black Ops 6 multiplayer beta, according to a statement from Activision. They clarified that the vulnerability shown in the video was addressed and fixed before the game's official release in November. The company emphasized that the video does not represent the current state of the game and that they consistently investigate complaints about such utilities.

Despite Activision's claims, players have accused the company of dishonesty, asserting that hackers are still exploiting the utility. They provided evidence through a video showing the program in use during a match on the Nuketown map, which was added to Black Ops 6 a week after its launch.

Black Ops 6 topped the charts as the best-selling game in the US last year, as reported by Circana analysts. Remarkably, the Call of Duty series has held the top spot in the United States for 16 consecutive years. In contrast, EA Sports College Football 25, released on consoles in July, became the most played sports game in the country.

In 2024, U.S. gamers' overall spending saw a slight decline of 1.1% compared to the previous year. However, Circana noted that this downturn was primarily due to reduced hardware demand, while expenditures on add-ons and services increased by 2% and 6%, respectively. Looking ahead, the second season of Black Ops 6 and Warzone 2, featuring a ninja theme and a crossover with the "Terminator" universe, is set to launch on January 28.
